Westfield Unanimously Approves Springmill Trails PUD
Wilfong Land Companies is pleased to announce Springmill Trails PUD.
On September 12, 2011, the City Council of Westfield unanimously approved the change from what has formerly been known as Eagletown PUD.
Market conditions changed dramatically in recent years as well as the newly approved Grand Park Sports Campus. In the summer of 2011, Wilfong sold 94 acres to the City of Westfield for the development of the Grand Park. The City purchased an additional 226 acres for a grand total of 320 acres and commenced the necessary engineering work.
Springmill Trails is located on Springmill Road and SR 32 and encompasses 900 acres. It will be a fully integrated development with retail, office, multi-family and single family homes. A dynamic trail system will be throughout the community and will connect to the Monon Trail, which will be the eastern boundary of Grand Park. The Little Eagle Creek Trail will be built through the center of Grand Park starting at the Monon Trail and run westward through much of Springmill Trails. It will connect to the Midland Trail south of SR 32.
The result will be a thriving community centered around health, recreation, schools, shopping and employment. Development is scheduled to begin the summer of 2012.
